Didn’t think I’d be doing another blog challenge already, but yesterday I read Anith’s post and thought it sounded fun, so I wanted to join in! Thanks to Forking Mad for creating this. Here are ten pointless facts about me.
Do you floss your teeth?
Nope. I tried, it never stuck. I think it’s mostly because I’m too impatient for it. It also feels a bit pointless. I prefer investing in a really good toothbrush.
Tea, coffee, or water?
That’s literally all you would see in my water tracker app. Most of the time it’s water because I can’t be drinking lattes or cold brew all day, unfortunately.
Footwear preference?
For day-to-day, New Balance sneakers. I love my 996. When I want to dress up a little bit, white leather sneakers. They go with everything in any season.
Favourite dessert?
The older I get, the less I like sweets or eat desserts. But I will always enjoy a flan, the Vietnamese variation with a subtle coffee flavor. I also love a classic vanilla soft serve cone.
The first thing you do when you wake up?
Like everyone else, I check my phone. Sometimes nature’s call comes first.
Age you’d like to stick at?
My early and mid-20s were about figuring, trying things out, and messing up, but also a time I met all kinds of people, saw many new places, and had rich experiences. I love where I’ve been now — late 20s to early 30s. Things are calmer and have more depth, and exciting and rewarding in a different way.
How many hats do you own?
If you count my motorbike helmet: one. Hats are more like tools rather than accessories to me. Hiking is probably the only time I would wear a cap. I do have a sun hat I bought in 2022, but I’ve only worn it twice at most.
Describe the last photo you took?
A half-half pizza — burrata parma ham margherita on one side, camembert cheese and ham on the other — at Pizza 4P’s, a household name for Italian-Japanese fusion cuisine here in Vietnam. (Here’s the pic if you’re curious.) Whenever my fiancée and I can’t think of what’s for dinner, Pizza 4P’s is our fallback. They really should introduce a membership or points program.
I saw a meme earlier this week that said taking a photo of the dish you’re about to eat is like taking its obituary photo. Makes sense.
Worst TV show?
Selling Sunset on Netflix. I love to hate it.
As a child, what was your aspiration for adulthood?
Despite not really knowing how to draw well, I wanted to be an artist at one point and then an architect because that would probably be more financially sensible. None of these things happened, but I did become a digital product designer, so I suppose it’s come full circle in a sense.
